Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychiatrist
                   Owner/CEO

Dr. Crystal Bullard is board-certified as a child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist. She graduated from the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. Then, she completed her residency training in general (adult) psychiatry and a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at the University of South Carolina/Prisma Health (formally Palmetto Health).

While in medical school, Dr. Bullard realized she had a passion for the treatment of mental health in addition to physical health. She understood poor mental health negatively impacts every other area of a person's life, including their physical health, family and social relationships, and occupation. As the daughter of public school teachers who devoted much of their lives to educating and mentoring children, Dr. Bullard always knew she wanted to work with children. It became evident to her that providing mental health treatment in the early years will improve a child's ability to function well at home, in school, and in the community. It also leads to long-term positive changes in their adult lives. Dr. Bullard also thoroughly enjoys working with young adults as they transition into adulthood. As her interest in mental health grew, Dr. Bullard felt called to pursue a career in psychiatry, working primarily with young people.

Dr. Bullard began her career as a child and adolescent psychiatrist at Atrium Health in Charlotte, North Carolina, where she practiced for over ten years and predominantly worked in the outpatient clinic, providing psychiatric evaluations and medication management. She also worked in the Levine Children’s Hospital, Behavioral Health Charlotte Partial Hospitalization Program and the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry inpatient unit. She provides excellent care for her patients and their families.

Dr. Bullard also served as teaching faculty for Wake Forest School of Medicine as she enjoyed teaching lectures and educating medical students in their psychiatry clerkship. She was also on teaching faculty for the Atrium Health General Psychiatry Residency Program, providing clinical supervision for psychiatry residents in the outpatient clinic and teaching annual lectures on Autism Spectrum Disorders. In her free time, Dr. Bullard spends most of her time with her husband and two children.

Dr. Bullard opened Hope Restored Psychiatry in January 2024 to provide individualized psychiatric evaluations and medication management. She is currently accepting new patients (children, teenagers and young adults)!
